Hard core!  Early Saturday morning a few students work out at dawn on the shore. Notice element 4.

Photo: Traditional uniform

Lance Black Belt and 30 year veteran of Hikarate Stephen Charles Luthor Ray attends Saturday night's mixer wearing a recreation of the traditional hikarate dress uniform worn by the elders at the turn of the 20th century. Stephen traveled all the way down from Alaska where he splits his time between tending bar at his own little watering hole, The Tab Room, and teaching out of his own Kwoon he built in the back yard of his lake side cabin. Although he only teaches 12 students, they are strong in the power of hikarate and everyone of them made it to the expo.

In the photo above, Mr. Ray issues death warrent 2725 to an opponent. Notice he also takes the traditional single finger spirit symbol, meaning he is at peace and one with the universe and ready to smash heads. He has been asked to return next year and teach a class on leverages.

Photo: Celebs...Chuck Woolery and Bruce Jener

Long time level 2 black belt Chuck Woolery mugs for the camera with Olympic hero Bruce Jener, a green belt, and young Cory Simons at Saturday night's formal dinnder. Mr Woolery presented a slide show of his early days with Master Ki. It was fantastic.

Black Belt David Axis demo on how through perfect union of mind, body and spirit, a hikarate student can become a power force. Dave has never trained with weights a day in his life. He gives full credit to dynamic tension, good sleep, plenty of water and element number 4. He has dominated himself and his muscles to do his bidding. Here is shows how various parts of his body has become so strong through mind control that he can lift heavy objects. Dave went on to life these weights with other parts of his body in an impressive feat of hikarate power.

A full scale replica of Master Yee's home in ancient China was rebuilt on the grounds of the convention center by some resourceful students of the New Orleans chapter. Inside was a perfect recreation of old China, including a pit and pendelum. A perfect likeness of the great master's mother was created in wax by famed French Quarter artist and Hikarate brown belt Andre Bronski. The attention to detail was amazing and really made you feel like you were in China of old. The project, headed by contractor and 3 level black belt Ronny "The Ronald" Footlong, we carefully designed to be taken apart and rebuilt at a different location. We hope to errect this monument at everyone of our Expos while we continue to collect funds to open the international HiKarate Museum and Memorial.

Arsenal of death! Rare Hi-Karate Ties from the 1920’s were auctioned off for charity. Non disciples of Hi-Karate were on hand to bid, for both the martial arts world and history collectors. We are proud to say that $36,750 was raised for 'Get a Dad’ foundation. It was a good day not to use an AK.

Sir Paul. 4 years in a row we have asked him to speak at the Expo. Maybe next year. 'Come on Paulie!"
